Portland ME [04/08/2026]: Mainstreet Credit Union has announced their selection of Arkatechture as their data analytics partner, marking a major step forward in the credit union’s digital transformation journey.

When Mainstreet began their search, leadership made clear they were looking for more than a technology solution. They needed a strategic partner capable of helping the organization break down longstanding data silos, modernize reporting, and unlock faster, more actionable insights.

“When we began looking for a data analytics partner, it was because we needed faster, more accurate insight into member behavior and operational efficiency so we could make proactive, evidence-based decisions,” said Damon Mendoza, Chief Information Officer at Mainstreet Credit Union. “Our data lived in silos across core, lending, and accounting systems; reports were manual, inconsistent, and delivered with long lag times.”

Rather than simply implementing a storage platform, Mainstreet sought a collaborator with deep financial services expertise and a shared commitment to the credit union movement’s “people helping people” philosophy.

“We didn’t want a vendor that would just hand over the keys to a platform and walk away; we wanted a collaborator with deep domain expertise in financial services who is as invested in our long-term digital transformation as we are. That is what led us to choose Arkatechture.”

Through this partnership, Mainstreet will establish a unified, secure data foundation designed to support both operational efficiency and advanced analytics. A key focus of the credit union’s data journey is shifting from retrospective reporting to forward-looking insights that answer “What will happen next?”

By moving into predictive modeling and breaking down legacy silos, Mainstreet aims to:

  • Enable faster, evidence-based decision-making
  • Proactively adjust lending strategies and identify emerging risks
  • Target member outreach with greater precision
  • Streamline compliance reporting and operational workflows
  • Free staff from manual reporting to focus on higher-value, member-facing work

Ultimately, the transformation is about improving the member experience. With an integrated, up-to-date view of each member relationship, staff will be able to deliver faster, more personalized service, from streamlined loan approvals to more informed account support.

Mainstreet also emphasized that its data strategy will be rooted in trust. As the credit union advances into predictive and automated insights, privacy, security, fairness, and transparency will remain central to every initiative, ensuring that analytics are always aligned with members’ best interests.

By partnering with Arkatechture, Mainstreet Credit Union is building a strong analytical foundation to enhance member trust, empower staff, and position the organization for long-term growth in an increasingly data-driven financial landscape.

Mainstreet Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution wholly owned and operated by its members. Earnings are not paid to outside stockholders. Instead, they are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher dividends on deposits and lower fees. Originally chartered in 1953 as Northeast Johnson County Teachers’ Credit Union, their financial cooperative was first run by a group of passionate teachers whose goal was to help fellow educators with their finances. Today, more than 55,000 members from a variety of companies, agencies, professions, and neighborhoods turn to Mainstreet Credit Union for their financial needs.
