Cooperative Credit Union Association Launches Data Strategy Assessment Initiative Powered by Arkatechture

Written by Arkatechture | March 30, 2026

New program gives credit union leaders a clear picture of where their data stands today and a custom playbook for next steps.

Portland ME, March 31, 2026. The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) and Arkatechture today announced the launch of the Credit Union Data Strategy Assessment Program. The program helps credit union leaders understand their data strengths, identify their gaps, and build a clear plan for next steps.

Credit union leaders know data matters. The harder question is where to start. The Data Strategy Assessment (DSA) answers that question. It gives leadership teams a clear, unbiased view of where they stand, paired with a custom playbook built around their goals.

Arkatechture built the initial Data Strategy Assessment from the ground up, deploying it across more than 10 credit unions before partnering with CCUA to sharpen and expand it. CCUA brings direct knowledge of what its member credit unions need and what moves organizations forward. The result is a personalized program that works for every credit union.

Over the years, Arkatechture and the CCUA have built a collaborative partnership focused on advancing data-driven innovation for credit unions through shared education, strategic guidance, and member-focused analytics initiatives that help institutions grow and better serve their communities.

“Our member credit unions are already making thoughtful, strategic decisions every day. This program strengthens that work by bringing greater clarity to how data can support and elevate those decisions—providing a clear, unbiased view of current capabilities and a practical path forward aligned to their goals.” Melissa Pomeroy, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Cooperative Credit Union Association

“Credit unions have more useful data than they realize. The leaders who use it best are not always the ones with the biggest teams. They are the ones who know where to focus. This program gives every credit union that clarity.” Jamie Jackson, CEO, Arkatechture

How the Program Works

Align. Credit union leadership comes together to set shared goals and define what strong data use looks like for the institution.

Analyze. Leadership and key stakeholders participate in guided surveys and conversations across major areas, including culture, people, governance, processes, and technology.

Architect. A fully custom data strategy playbook is built and delivered with clear priorities, defined ownership, and a realistic action timeline.

Act. Leaders leave with a clear plan and the confidence to move forward on their own terms. Execute internally, issue an RFP, or deepen an existing partnership. No next steps are assumed. The path is theirs.

Most credit unions complete the program without disrupting normal operations. No dedicated data team is required.

Each organization will receive a clear, unbiased, and actionable data strategy playbook that outlines current capabilities, identifies gaps and opportunities, and provides prioritized guidance to align teams and drive immediate impact.
